Thank you for choosing to donate to the Springfield Police Foundation. Your donation to the Community Foundation of the Ozarks will go directly to the Springfield Police Foundation to help us provide education, training and equipment for our Springfield Police Department.

Here are just a few things we have been able to provide our police with your donations.
  • Police K-9:  Provided the funds needed to replace Police Service Dog, Jax, who retired from his duties due to old age and long-term ailments.  In his years of service, Jax has had approximately 742 deployments and was responsible for locating 48 suspects and making 113 narcotic finds.  Jax also led the department to approximately 134 arrests.

  • WLI St Louis Training:  Provided funds needed so female officers and staff could attend the Women’s Leadership Institute (WLI) in St Louis, Missouri.  WLI is a one-week training program for female leaders and those developing female leaders.  The curriculum is focused on teaching participants evidence informed leadership theories to help them inspire followers, lead groups, and achieve organizational goals—all in the context of better understanding the unique challenges women face in the workplace.  Participants of this course have recommended the training not only for its delivery of tangible leadership strategies, but also for its outstanding networking opportunities and promotion of successful women in law enforcement.

  • Photogrammetry/Mapping Software for Traffic Section UAV/Drone:  Research and literature indicate the use of drone mapping software significantly reduces the time required for officers to map and investigate a crash scene.  This results in increased safety for officers and motorists by reducing the amount of time officers spend in the roadway investigating crashes of this nature and by reducing the threat of secondary crashes.
